ZIP Files: Uploading To AutoSITE

You can upload 2 files in ZIP format directly to your AutoSITE by using the control panel.

1. Simply log in on your weblinks page (page 6 of your AutoSITE). Enter your username and password to display the control panel.

2. Enter accompanying link text / title for your ZIP under a blank line number in the filecentre section (page 4 in the CP).

3. Then, simply click on 'Upload', browse to your ZIP file, (less than 75Kb in size) and click OK. Your ZIP will be uploaded automatically. Hit 'Save' and you're done!

That's how easy it is. With a ZIP file you can 'wrap up' and compress ANY file type into a distributable package. Users can 'unzip' the compressed file type upon delivery and make use of the contents. User-level security is also included with the ability to set passwords, required to 'unzip' a restricted file.

The windows operating system includes a file compression utility, but if you require greater flexibility you can download 7Zip, a free ZIP application from www.7zip.org.
